Ludhiana Chawla Cream Chicken - Since 1950 - This is a signature dish from Ludhiana, a bustling city in Punjab. It is said that Kundan Lal Chawla developed this dish in the 1960s and then it was popularised by the Chawla family. It gained so much popularity that it became a symbol of Ludhiana’s culinary identity. We are presenting our take on this great dish.
There is no chilli in this other than some mild spices. Chicken is cooked with milk, butter, cashew paste, black pepper, mild spices, and cream. The dish’s creamy, buttery profile offers an entirely different take on the traditional intensely spiced dishes, which makes it a standout. Another key feature is that three variations of coriander are used in this dish - powdered coriander seeds, whole coriander seeds & fresh coriander leaves.
It is traditionally served with supermarket-styled white bread slices. Give this a try for an exciting breakfast option with the white bread or a main meal with one of our rice or bread options.
