This is a our take on the legendary dish that was born decades ago in a little eatery called the Shetty Lunch Home in the small village of Kundapur along the south west coast of India. The fame of this dish was such that, over the years, lots of restaurants cropped up across India calling themselves The Shetty Lunch Home. And celebrity food bloggers from all over India made pilgrimages to Kundapur to taste the wonders of this dish for themselves. 

Our thoroughly researched take on Kundapur chicken ghee roast is spicy, tangy and earthy - and it’s possibly the most delicious chicken dish to come out of our kitchens so far. We are proud to share the story of another small independent restaurant, halfway across the world in a remote part of India, and to give you a chance to try this gorgeous dish - no pilgrimage required.
